You can get round it mate. Go into your bank and ask for copies of the bank statements (normally not printed on headed paper) and then ask them to authenticate them. Basically every bank has a stamp which they can put on copies of statements to state they are accurate (They are individual to each bank and all banks have an agreement between themselves that they will accept them). Also ask for a cover letter from the bank as well.0

Hi
I had the same problem; but my bank statements do have my address on them.
I needed them for a 2 year car lease; so I printed out 4 months worth of the bank statements, and supplemented it with copies of:
credit card statement [mine]
council tax [in my name]
utility bill [which was in my partner's name]
the joint mortgage agreement [which linked my partner's name and address to me]
my driving licence
my approval for postal voting document from the council
3 months payslips which showed amounts paid into the bank as above, to link the address on the payslip to my bank.
I noted that although I didn't have bank statements, I gave enough info to link me and the address many times over.
I also did this to a lesser degree when we took the mortgage out, in that the payslips and printed bank statements were enough to make the link.
I would print the full lot out for 3 months, and use payslips and driving licence [pay shown going into that bank account, plus bills coming out to the utility account - should be enough. Slip a council tax bill in there if you can for good measure.
OR
if they won't accept that...
When you are there - can you log into your bank and utility accounts in front of them to show your details???0 -

I did this and my branch of the HSBC printed the statement but refused to stamp it, said it was against company policy.0 -

if this is on their computer
don't do this
that would be really really silly
my experience of online billing...is dont do it
far more energy is wasted trying to get things sorted because comp systems never work etc - so reminder letters are sent out...then demand letters etc etc
save the planet - get a hard copy0 -

Well then you ask for a cover letter getting them to state this is their policy so you can hand to their complaints department as if you use internet banking they should be aware of what problems they are causing by pursuing that policy.0 -

That won't help when you are sitting in front of the woman in the Housing Benefits Office who tells you she won't accept it if it is not stamped, and that many people bring printouts from their branch so she knows they will do it.
Eventually I got to speak to someone higher, who listened when I said "ring them up if you don't believe me". She did and was told the bank does not stamp, sign or date printed statements.0 -
when we remortgaged they accepted printed statments..just told them we banked with an internet only bank (smile) and that these were the originals.0
