We had hopped to sell our current home now that we're retired and the mortgage has finished. But the mess the bankers have put us all (well most) in has meant holding back a little.
We have no children and no young relatives who we wish to leave anything to. We have invested in a new motorhome for travelling in the UK & EU for most of the year, until we reach an age when we would have to reduce the time away or stop all together.
So initially we would want to 'live in a property' for only one month every year.
We would be quite happy for a small home that is easy to maintain.
So any advice on which is best - buy or rent.
Remember our aim is to spend our last £1 the day before the last of us dies!
