Finding cheap train tickets

Bus or train.
I'm looking to travel to London on Dec 1st and back about a week later. I can find cheap bus tickets that start at Swansea but the train tickets are like £11 each way to Swansea that's more than I'm paying to get to London is there any tips to get cheaper tickets from Milford Haven to Swansea?

probably not. Just go on the arriva trains website and book from there - try looking for singles - though not sure if ATW do them for that short a route.one of the famous 5

have you looked at buying in advance on the train as i saved myself £12 doing this my train back the other day from gatwick to worthing should have been £15 but coz i brought advance it was only £3.50 and my ticket was delivered the next day buy first class post0

A lot of local routes do not have advance fares, just standard ones, it appears Milford Haven - Swansea is like that, one standard fare whenever.
However, making the journey longer can help. Have you considered going all the way to london by train? Advance fares for Milford Haven - London can be had for £15, which is very cheap, especially considering you'd have to pay £11 to get to Swansea anyway!
Worth noting that advance fares won't be out for December yet, only up to the end of November so you'd have to wait a couple of weeks until December ones are released.0
