£20k for a car, any thoughts.

Hi, A simple Q. I have saved up some cash to buy my dream car.

What would you buy. I'm looking to treat myself for a change at the turn of the year.

What would you get and how would you finance it if you didn't want to spend all of your savings, But might as well as what's the point in getting a loan when you have the dosh.

Any thoughts.

Ta.

What do you fancy? luxurious, fast, convertible, sleeper, cruiser, 4x4 your budget covers a number of very nice options.

I have a hankering for one of these as a weekend car:

Aston Martin Bulldog(I'd make it!). Lotus Esprit. Maybe another Proton Perdana, and supercharge the V6.

    For 20k I could get a lot of cars....mmmmmm

You could easily get an excellent example of a late 90's Porsche 911/996 etc. An Aston Martin of some description (DB7 Coupe) or for the more into their cars - auto trader has a '68 fastback showing possible 1 owner with full matching numbers.

Depends on what your tastes are, 2/4 door, convertible/hard top, classic/modern etc.

What about an imported Nissan Skyline, should be able to get something a bit silly like an R34 shape GT-R, maybe with around 600bhp............

Get three Kia Picantos and use two through the week and one at weekends.

    :rotfl:

Following on from this - buy something mental for £14k and use £6k to buy a Picanto to use during the week because your mental car will only be fit for use at the weekend without dying :T
