Any advice please!
My boiler stopped working-thepoilet light wouldnt stay lit-called in a plumber(corgi registered) who replaced the thermo-coil?-It wasnt this so hes changed a gas valve switch. Cost of parts so far £65 hes invoiced me for£140 and I've also given him £20 cash.
But the boilers still not working.
He says he 'hasnt given up on it yet' but I'm reluctant to pay him anything until its working.
Any advice on what I should do or my rights would be gratefully appreciated.
Luke

Did he read the service and installation instructions or even contact the manufacturer before assuming what it needed?
The only time we get caught out is when a PCB fails - we replace it only to find something else, that relies on the PCB has also failed, but you never know until you replace the PCB.
This engineer should have had some sort of a clue before replacing the gas valve and thermocouple.0 -
