Potato Blight?

This is my first year growing fruit and veg and I feel I have failed miserably.
I had 2 potato grow bags in which I planted 4 international kidney tubers each (in April).
They seemed to be doing well and about 2 weeks ago I got about 6 good potatoes from one bag which were very tasty
I didn't have time to dig up any more until today. I have just emptied my potato bags and about 90% of the potatoes have these raised brown lumps all over them. Some of the potatoes are totally covered. Some of their brown lumps have a greyish purple edge to them. They look gross. Is this this potato blight? Or does anyone else know what is might be?
I am so disappointed and the few potatoes that seem to look ok I am not sure whether they are ok to eat or not having been growing with the ones with brown lumps.
Please help me!

It's not blight, that would make them black and rotten.
It's probably some sort of scab, just peel them and they will look better. Unlike some human beings, potatoes always look better naked.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -

I so agree with that!If I'm over the hill, where was the top?0 -
Really??? They look really gross though lol And it's affected so many of them. I'll try the potatoes with just a few lumps and probably chuck the ones that are covered in them.
Do you know what might have caused it? Or how I can avoid it next year?
Thanks! Laura0 -
