Hello,
Im in the process of trying to get back my charges from Lloyds totaling £470, they have just sent a letter back stating " The OFT guidelines only concern Defult charges, The fees we charge for going over the overdraft limit and for returned payments are not any kind of defult charge. They are fixed standard prices for the service we provide in these situations, so according to our legal experts the OFT guidelines on credit card charges dont apply."
And they are now asking me to contact the Finacial Ombudsman Service as they will now not deal with me any more.....i really dont know what to do now... please can someone offer some advice?
Thanks
Jayne

it is irrelevant whether they are default charges - the only matter is whether they are penalty charges, which are unlawful.
you will need to sue them in the small claims court.
