How can you misuse a table? And even if it was as you suggest a "cheap table" I would still have the same rights as someone who bought one that cost £1000 so that's not the issue here.Sounds like misuse to me. You bought a cheap table on credit therefore the quality and durability will be cheap.0

You will still need to prove the item was faulty from manufacture."The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

I don't know what your rights are, but you have my sympathy. £599 is not cheap! It may not be high range either, but it should last a lot longer than a year.Cash not ash from January 2nd 2011: £2565.:j
OU student: A103 , A215 , A316 all done. Currently A230 all leading to an English Literature degree.
Any advice given is as an individual, not as a representative of my firm.0 -
Thanks for your replies, I am going to speak to my rep about it. I will also be writing to the company and credit company. I would like to see them justify it as "normal wear and tear" after less than a year. Could understand if we were jumping on and off it like Tarzan but all we do is eat at it!
Nothing ventured nothing gained!0 -

Well spoke to my rep and metioned the above advice I had been given, he is filling out a complaint form and he says he is 99% they will do something, more than likely give me a new table about the same price (as mine is discontinued). So fingers crossed. Thanks again all.0
