Ebay item not as described help

Hi, I listed a pair of trousers that were my daughters, the description clearly stated that the listing was for ONE item, however unfortunately when I attached the pictures I inadvertantly put a photo of another item alongside the item that was listed. At no point during the listing were any questions asked by anyone,(and there were 7 bids on this item) as to whether they were bidding on one item or more, nor was it pointed out to me that the pictures did not tally to the item description. The winning bidder has left me positive feedback for the item received, but has now opened an Item not as Described case against me.
I have explained that the additional photo was a mistake that I have only just been made aware of, but the listing description clearly stated only one item. I have offered a full refund if they return the item to me if they are not happy, I don't know what else to do. Can anyone advise/help?
Thanks!

It is likely that paypal will find for the buyer, but even then the buyer will have to return the item before they get a refund. So you've done all you can, wait and see if buyer is going to return them or not.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I think the buyers trying it on! You already clearly stated the listing was for one item so tough luck to them!
Had they have read the listing and item discription properly they would of seen that!
all I would do is make sure paypal or ebay see that it was clearly listed as one item. just because there was other foreign objects in a picture if you will doesnt make them part of the listing!
I bought a pair of new rock boots off ebay other week and the picture showed them next to an unrelated item -> an x box 360 but as the listing title said i was bidding on a pair of boots not boots and xbox
hopefully it will be cleared up when paypal or ebay check the listing they will see the buyer as the chancer and time waster they are!0 -
if I photograph an item for sale with it standing on my kitchen table I don't expect the winning bidder to think he's getting the kitchen table too....Instant Credit means Instant Debit!

This was not in the photo, but a completely different photo added to the listing. So if you were selling a book and then listed a completely seperate photo for the second one in the series a dim buyer might think they are getting both, otherwise why add a second photo?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I accept that the other picture was a mistake, and everyone makes them - however at no point did the buyer ask a question as to whether they were bidding on one item or two - I buy and sell on ebay and if the roles were reversed I would have expected to receive the item in the description, not really taking account the photos.
Thanks for your comments, am waiting to see what happens next!Motto: You gotta be in it to win it!:j
