After upgrading my 15" TFT to 17" I was loathed to get rid of the old screen 'Why can't I make it into a telly' I thought. Well you can, and relatively easily. You can now get standalone TV tuners designed exactly to do this, you plug one end into the TFT, add an aeerial and off you go, a terestial TFT TV for a fraction of the high street price. My box cost me £24 from ebay so add that to what I would have got for the TFT second hand say £50 and it's a bargain. One thing though, having wired it up and tuned it in I realised my TFT didn't have any speaker - doh! anothe £4 on ebay put me right though. 15" TFT in my kitchen for £80 - half the high steet cost.

Is there anyway you could adapt your solution to digital terrestrial TV ?
