I can't find anything on Special Delivery but recorded items are kept for a week.

I think SD is three weeks...
All I can find isWe make every effort to make sure you get your mail, so we keep it for three weeks (or one week if it’s been sent from abroad or by Recorded Signed For™). After that, we have to return it to the person who sent it, if there’s a readable address on the outside. If we have to return anything, we’ll attach a sticker explaining why we couldn’t deliver.
Which is what the link in the prev post takes you to.It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.
Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.0 -
I think it will depend, from experience they can take about a month to get back to me so I guess it depends on how efficient the local sorting office is but I reckon it could be upto a fortnight or more.
Oops there go post above seems to cover it.
By the way the last one I had returned went via Belfast to be re addressed to me!0 -
Yeah 3 weeks, or you can phone up the office and they will return it to sender early, but not to another address. (they did this when a buyer gave me their term time address by mistake, but might depend on the postmaster as i found nothing written on the site)0

I'd check with the buyer as they do have a habit of not leaving a card through the letter box to let them know theres a parcel waiting! (or possibly its the buyers telling porkies!)0
