Last minutes seaside break

I want to take the family away for just a couple of nights next week. Looking ideally at Southend on Sea or nearby.

Can anyone offer some advice and help getting a really cheap suitable B&B or hotel. There's three of us - two adults and a 2 and a half year old. Ideally looking to go on the 15th and come back on the 17th.

Have already looked at Travelodge in Southend and believe it is over a club / wine bar which may not be suitable for us.

Hope you guys can help.

PS - have also considered a touring caravan at one of the haven (or similar) sites as we have been for longer breaks before in static, so very cheap touring caravan hire would be a help (we're based near Ipswich in Suffolk).

Ideally not wanting to spend much more than £30 a night, less if possible!
