Hi there would be grateful for any advice anyone can give don't know where to start!!
We took out our 1st mortgage with Halifax in Apr 2007 on the same day we signed for the mortgage we also signed for Mortgage and life insurance ppi, we were under the impression that we had to have this being 1st time buyers, should the halifax have sold us this? we were under the imression it included critical cover but after a review with the halifax have since found out it doesnt. it does come out under a different direct debit but we cannot remember our mortgage adviser telling us to shop around and come back to them if need be it was all done on the same day. Would appreciate the help as we have been paying for 3 years and now we have read all the small print do not feel we were given adequate time to look for another provider and we also feel that in a lot of instances we would not be covered.
