So why the change do we all think, what is different?
Am I right to say that HBOS has a greater concentration oop north whereas Nationwide has great market share dahn Sarf? Perhaps that changed when HBOS was taken over (rather disastrously) by Lloyds.
As calculus fans will know, the graph shows rate of change of price rather than price so HBOS has to be above Nationwide for a while to even out.
How anyone can have any confidence in these stats which purport to compare similar things but vary so much in conclusion is beyond me.0 -

Big problem with that idea, we have been froze out the market for a while and our careers are already near the top of what we can earn.
Basically we can just afford a house at the top of our game, when we started in our careers we didn't have a chance of buying.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

Doubling the risk of conceiving a child with Down's Syndrome if you are a woman of 30, this risk increases with age as well as increased risks of other chromasomal disorders. Fertility in women peaks between the ages of 20 and 25 and declines significantly from the age of 30. The rates of stillbirth, miscarriage (12% for a 20-25 year old, 25% for a woman over 40) and ectopic pregancy increase substantially with age, as do the risks of gestational diabetes, vaginal bleeding and preeclampsia. Irregular ovulation in women over 35 means that more than one egg is frequently released thereby increasing the chance of fraternal twins. There is increasing chance of undiagnosed disease affecting your pregnancy. A woman's health prior to conception is likely to be inferior, 10 years of drinking and smoking and other unhealthy ways of enjoying their disposable income. A woman is born with all of her eggs, they will age with her, older eggs sometimes develop problems.
Fathers also impact. The chances of a successful pregnancy falls if the man is aged over 35 and significantly falls after 40. Children born to men over 40 have a 6 times higher risk of autism than children born to men under 30. There has been an increase in fathers over 40 in the UK and a corresponding increase in autism. There are increased risks of birth defects, physical and mental, including bipolar, schizophrenia, dwarfism and bone disorders. Sperm quality deteriorates compounded by any prior years of drinking and smoking.
But hey. Children can wait. First I want to be something. I want a career, a big house, to sleep around, to travel the world to make money and have stuff. Life is all about me. The ironic thing is that a lot of people who consider themselves to be driven, intelligent and fit are removing themselves from the gene pool.
Don't play the sexist card on me, won't wash. My wife had our beautiful, healthy and intelligent daughter at the age of 24. I worked full time as a teacher while our daughter was in her early years, now I work part time and am chief child carer while my wife develops her career. Our daughter has always been raised by a parent, not strangers.
Lots of talk about risk there.
I presume you know what the increase in absolute risk is for each of these, as well as the more sensational relative risks?0 -
In many ways that graphs sums up why asking price drops on rightmove don't show up as drops on any sold price index. The average asking price is 60kish higher than the average sold price. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
