Beware the Esure overseas travel scam

I bought with Esure this year, had been a customer in the past and the cover included Europe. It seemed comparable to my last RAC policy and cheaper than the 50% renewal hike.
Policy booklet is ambiguous and says you "may" have fully comp cover in Europe but you dont and you have to call up and purchase additional cover.
Even though you cant buy fully comp upfront according to Esure its an "amendment" which incurs a £26 admin fee each time.
Clearly customers have now been complaining as Esure now send you letters stating you have paid a premium of £41 (or whatever it is) without stating that this includes the £26 amendment fee. Also on the phone they call it a "premium" and I had to ask if it included the rip off amendment fee and they admitted it did.
It would be an amendment if you could have bought it at the start of the policy but didnt but you cant. That and the miswording of the letter you get with the documents is nothing more than a total fabrication and a rip off.
I highly doubt they are paying over insurance premium tax to the exchequer on the amendment fee even though they are hiding it in the amount they tell you it has cost as a "premium"
Avoid these scam artists like the plaque. Suffice to say I wont be using them again.
