Glad it went well for you, at least you can relax now. As for the interviews it is nearly always carried out by an examiner and not the OR.

i'm glad the interview went well for you. it's never as bad as you imagine! x
  • just wondering....because i was spoke to by examiner does all this info get passed to OR or does examiner deal with it all. If they were to give me a BRO when would i find out.? I don't think they will but got myself worrying thinking they are going to think i was reckless??:eek:x

It is very unlikely that the OR will get involved. The OR is more like the MD of an office and oversees things rather than get involved in case work.

You will have a case examiner who will do the admin, and examiner who does the interview and writes up their recommendations. Your file is then passed to an Assistant Official Received who will review your file, agree/make changes as necessary to what the examiner has put forward. It would normally be the AOR who would discuss any unusual cases with the OR, but these are an exception.

  • I'm from Scotland, so it may be different, but during my interview she asked if I had been the registerd keeper of a car in the last 5 years.
Are England and Scotland different on the period before Bankruptcy where you have been a registered keeper?
Do they look into who is the keeper of the car or who owns the car? And how do they do that?
    Thanks.

England & Wales and Scotland have different BR rules.

The OR can check with DVLA for registered keeper details.
  • So in England it's only a year previously that they bother about?
And why bother with the DVLA if registered keeper doesn't mean owner?
Also do they usually check every car with the DVLA or just some?
    Thanks
  • The differences between the countries are very confusing, you think one thing or see info on here and then realise that it doesn't apply to you!
  • i agree it can be confusing. my examiner jst asked if car was in partners name and didn't ask if i had ever transferred it. i did transfer it 14 mths ago but thats cos it was a gift to him from my mum but i collected it for him.

it'd be much easier if it was the same all over the uk.
