Might help if you specify which institution you want to know about.

To be honest I'm looking at the distance learning option which is intercollegiate. What I am surprised at is I've looked at the fees & they come in quite a bit below the OU (even if you consider purchasing books in addition to fees at UoL)

Look carefully at what is provided by the two institutions: don't forget that OU tuition fees include the support of a tutor; the opportunity to meet fellow students; and an excellent on-line conference facility for each module. Decide whether these would be important to you.

Once you have graduated, both qualifications are highly regarded.

Thank you for you advice voyager. I've studied with the OU for over a decade now & I can't praise the OU highly enough! As you say, the online forums & the online library are real positives. I'm less fussed about face-to-face tutorials but i can see how a new OU student would gain confidence & support through "real" contact. I'm loathed to go elsewhere to study because I know how good the OU is. However, at the same time I'm feeling like I would like a change. Opportunities for Higher education via distance learning are increasing whereas even a decade ago, the OU was the only real reliable choice.

    Thanks again for your comment
