How long does frozen sausage meat last?

I bought 2 packs of fresh sausage meat last christmas time and put them in the freezer and found them still there today. Will they be still ok if defrosted or will they be rotten and need throwing away, how long are these things supposed to last in the freezer, anyone know:question:

As long as they were frozen soon after purchase, and your freezer has had no malfuncion, they will not poison you :)

As long as they were fresh when you put them in I personally would keep them upto a year - but that is my opinion, I would never throw them out unless they smelled off when I defrosted them.

Thanks alot, I know they were fresh when I bought them and I froze them on the day of purchase and nothing is wrong with the freezer. I will defrost them and as long as there is no nasty smell will use them. Anyone got any good recipes or is it just boring sausage rolls? :o
