santander to AL transfer Missing

I opened a ISA with AL Via internet April 10. I was sent a transfer form to transfer from Santander. I filled it out to transfer £7000.00
To this date it is missing. Santander say it has been cash by AL.
AL say they have not recieved it. I have phoned too many times and spoke to a number of staff at Santander and AL. For the past 2 month I have requested a copy of the cheque I ahve still not recieved this cheque.
Santander say contact AL. AL say Santander do not respond. To me AL is Santander. I went into AL branch five weeks ago monday and the lady helping me has been great.
But she is having trouble dealing with this situation.
Five months ago I filled the transfer form out. Four months of complete stress and no money due to lack of work.
What sort of compensation should I expect? Santander sent back there complaints response 2 days ago saying contact AL. They also said for loss of 98pence interest they will give my Extra money for this. A extra £10.00 Wow for all this trouble and stress and complete waste of time. Santander = useless.

Comments

  • Santander=useless and A&L is Santander is correct. Where were you transferring your ISA funds from Santander to? Seems as though you've done all you can with Santander and a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman is in order with a copy to your Santander branch manager . Send your complaint with copies all relevant letters and documents.
I had similar experience and it seems to me that bank staff are under orders to make it as difficult as they can to release funds to customers.
Named after my cat, picture coming shortly
