right, after 3 days playing around with netger, i managed to unlok it, reset it and new password to make it secure ...
the problem is now, when i check on vireless routers availables, there are about ten of them .. but 2 are mine
the first is named Netgear 2 which got full reception and
the other one is Netgear which got half or little reception
both mine as both secured on my password.. how can this happen? or have done any thing on my past stupid activities;) these 2 have been showing since i moved to my new house
thanks

Basically its because you've not changed the default wifi SSID from Netgear and assuming you've not actually got two physical Netgears, neither has someone else. Go into Wifi settings and change the SSID. Also whilst you're in there, change the channel . Two in reception range on the same channel will cause all kinds of aggro down the line.0

I can't really decipher your post but sounds like you can't distinguish your routers from all the others in the same vicinity - is that right?
If so then change both of your routers SSID's so that only you can connect to the right ones.0 -
i only got 1 router .. when i turn that one of, i can see both disapear so they both mine
all i want is one's love;)
hammy man you are right of problems.. it gets disconnected or slow out of the blue and when i check the wireless, can show the one is having barely any reception and the other that i m disconected if full0 -

I think I know what you're on about, I've had a similar problem where the network SSID's are stored (within your PC/Laptop) and if you changed your SSID it also brought up the older one too - something like that anyhow.
That's why you say you have two Netgear SSID's but only one router, how are you connecting to your wifi?0 -
with netgear?...
it all started when i moved house .. and yes itsa as you describe.. i dont know how to get to ssid0 -
