XBox 360 Accessories are so expensive, here is one way of saving a bit of cash.
Ok first of all make sure your computer is WiFi enabled and near your XBox 360. Connect them with an ethernet (RJ45/network) cable. Plug one end of the cable into the network port on the back of your XBox 360, and plug the other end into the network port on your computer. Next, you need to configure your connection settings on your computer.
Windows XP
Make sure you are logged in as a computer Administrator.
Go to Control Panel (click Start, click Control Panel).
Double-click on Network Connections
Click on the Wireless Connection icon
Now click on ‘ Change settings of this connection’
Click on the Advanced tab
Check ‘Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s Internet connection.’
Click OK
Turn on your Xbox 360 and connect to XBox Live.
Mac OS X
Click the System Preferences icon in the Dock.
Select Sharing preference pane.
Click the Internet tab.
Start Internet Sharing.
Turn on your Xbox 360 and connect to XBox Live.
Note: if you restart your computer and can’t connect to XBox Live, nothing is faulty. The system will probably have just reset Internet Sharing to disabled, so just go through these steps again.

What assigns the Xbox an ip? Will Windows do that?
Sounds ok, just means you need to have your Xbox near your pc which is a bit of a pain, depending upon how you're setup.
You could also try something like this:

Or you can pick the official bridge up for £54:

May seem pricey, but for a standard pc adapter you'll pay £30-35 for the equivalent. I bought one in the end, was waiting to see if the mod scene would come up with anything, but wasn't patient enough. It's a good product, good signal and works instantly without a problem. If only it were £10-15 cheaper."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -
Yes windows sorts it all out.
I am using a laptop so I'm pretty portable, I guess its not eveyones Ideal solution but you know what lengths people will goto to save £54
Also where would you say is the cheapest place to pick up a LIVE headset.0 -
Yep thats the one
any suggestions?
