changing my car, dilemma

Im just musing at the minute, and looking I suppose as to what others would do. Bear with me if I ramble;)
I currently have a suzuki wagon R+ seven years old that has 26,500 on the clock, sailed straight through its MOT last month. I have had the car since new,my Late Mum bought it for me when she sold her house so I could run her around in, so it has sentimental attachemnts ;)and its a great economical car. However seven years ago, my son was 7 and we only had one dog, so it was big enough for what we wanted, now however dear son is a strapping 5ft 11 and we have two labs so space is lacking to say the least .
So my dillema WE dont have any spare money so we would need to spend the same amount as we got on another car so trade in is a no no, I would ideally like an estate car or one with a decent boot that the dogs could go in,but how do I know where to get an accurate quote for my cars worth, or even the best way to sell it, and how do I make sure I dont get ripped off? I only drive locally and do perahps 3000 miles a year at most, do I look for low mileage on another car, or doesnt that matter so much nowadays?
Decisions decisions , and advice greatly received:)

Keep the Suzuki, you will never replace it with anything as good.0

Keep it. Not to disrespect the car, but it's worth pence, just keep it and enjoy it.

Short of cash and two big labs .............. change the dogs not the car"A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

As said above, and just do a search for the equivalent car on autotrader, bearing in mind that will be the asking price not the final sale value. It may just make your mind up regarding keeping it.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -

To be honest, as you know the whole history of your car and how it's been looked after, it's going to be worth more to you than what you get for it.
With buying another car for the same money, you are getting an unknown quantity, in your situation I don't think I'd change it.
With the Wagon R with rear seats folded I'd have thought there was plenty of room for two Labradors.0 -

Thanks for that, yes whe the seats are folded there is lots of room for the dogs, its just when there are the three of us plus the dogs its a tight squeeze, and there isnt much leg room in the back.
I think though I am best to keep what I know, thanks for the advice0 -
You wouldn't believe the number of times I've been driving down a 60mph country road and run into a 3 mile long queue of traffic doing 25mph and found that the lead car is a Wagon R!!!!
Less of these things on the roads the better
