I think it is a total debt of £1541 with a monthly surplus of £388, you just need to pay £388 over 4 months and that should be all debts paid? that how it apears to me.

Cancel Sky, and if you're ill at the mo, could you cut out the tenner entertainment money, thats £60.00, you can cancel Sky or reduce the package anytime unless you took out a specific ' get free something if you take out a £49.00 package for a year' etc..

We don't care for the reasons but do you know that 18 divide by 3 is £6 per month? Where did £1.75 come from?

Do you have the £388.12 left over each month or are there other expenses that may not be calculated correctly?

Presents (birthday, christmas etc)...... 5 - have a birthday every month but only ever spend £5 except at christmas but i save £2 a week for this which goes into a account which I cant access as my mum in america keeps hold of this in her own b ank account for me

How about this one £2 per week is £104 per year dividing that by 12 gets £9 per month....

The arrears of gas/electric and water should be entered as unsecured debts. It puts you a further £676 into debt but still with your surplus you should still clear all debts within 6 months.

I think a spending diary might be the best way to see what you actually are spending money on each month. Write down everything from today and at the end of the month check with these numbers on your SOA.

OP the Council Tax and Housing benefits should be suitable for installments so keep at them.
Also ask if your can make the existing council tax over 12months rather than 10.

If you list all the normal payments you should be making and then add any arrears into the unsecured debts.
Any payments that amount to being paid every so often make sure you divide them up correctly, ie the £18 every 3 months 18/3 and B'day pressies.

Persoanally I would keep the £10 entertainment you need to keep your spirits up :)

To keep in touch with your Mum\Nan could you get a free '3' Network sim to use in your phone, they give free skype access :)

We do care for the reasons. It can justify a cost and prebvent a pointless suggestion. The Cash calculation is wrong but the info is relevant.

I'd be inclined to cancel Sky completely just for them being so intransigent when they could have helped a customer.
