With the transport issue - would it be worth getting a bike? Depending where you are and what's within cycling distance this could open up your search area - you could always go down the early Xmas pressie with this one from either OH or family members...
Ooo, had an idea for you! As you used to work at the jobcentre & there's high unemployment in the area you could perhaps offer your services typing CV's, offering a bit of advice etc to other people. Obviously as they'd be in the same position as you they couldn't pay much, but maybe the odd £10 or so coming in for a professionally prepared CV...:jTotal Debt 13th Sept 2006 (exc student loan): £6240.06

Cycling - next nearest town is 10miles+ I think cylcing 20 miles aday would kill me.
I will see how I get on tomorrow. If no joy I will think about putting cards up in supermarkets offering ironing, typing, proof reading, cv services etc.

Fiance keeps saying he doesnt want the money back, I really want to pay him back but am coming around to the idea of maybe not paying all of it back to him. Normally all the money I have made from Surveys and Ebay has gone straight into the Joint account even tho it was all my doing. Have been doing this since 2004.
I also do all the housework, washing, ironing, cooking. So starting to think may give hi a token amount to show that I do appreciate it.
Just hope I get a job soon2014 = New Year, New Me0 -

If you havent already, have you thought about doing a shorthand course and an ICT course. The more qualified you are to do admin work, the more they will want you and you will be indispensable. I only know this because I work in a school and I am in great demand because I do pitmans shorthand. Have you tried any of the schools. Schools are funny places, they like people to drop in on the off chance and ask if there are any vacancies. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0
