If the claims and conviction record is that bad, you may find someone quotes you with Tradex as they like the stuff other people will not touch as they can charge what they want.

If you are quoted with them, think very carefully as they are arguably the worst Insurer, make sure you read the cover fully so you understand what terms they apply as they may apply an excess which also includes a percentage of the total claim and / or apply an excess you have to pay for claims against you (Which may include a percentage of the other parties losses). They will also look for any excuse to avoid paying claims so you need to make sure every single claim and conviction etc is declared

Finally, we have cover. At least, I am told I have: I have a policy number from AXA, the lady I've been dealing with is practically my best friend we've spoken so often, we've paid an arm and two legs, BUT we still have most of our drivers! I'm not sure I shall believe it until the policy documents arrive ...

We've lost those few drivers with 6 points on their licences, and we've also - bizarrely to me - lost the driver who'd been a named driver on another policy which suffered a theft claim - not even her own policy, and not even a whole vehicle theft, but damage to the door to steal the radio! Apparently AXA "didn't like the sound of that."

When I see the chap who pointed us in the right direction (the details of which escape me and I have finally managed to leave work so not readily available!) I shall probably hug him ...

I used to think you could insure anything, if you were willing to pay the price. Now I know better ...

I may just have to shoot anyone who has an accident in the next 12 months ... or shoot myself!
