Hi guys,
Can anyone suggest any reasons as to why recently my laundry hasn't been smelling as fresh/detergenty as it used to?
Even on 40-60c washes, the washing powder scent is hardly there!
Any tips on this?
Thanks!
Z

Might not be related but we found that after we started washing at "30" the machine started to leave the clothes smelling less than stellar.
A couple of empty runs at 60 and then back to 40 and the problem went away.
We don't use 30 anymore.
Sorry "environment"0 -
tried that- no joy0

Have you tried cleaning out the little drawer at the bottom of the machine? think it's called the lint drawer or something like that. catches all the bits from going down the drain.
We also put a few drops of essential oil in the conditioner drawer (without conditioner, for the reusable nappies) with each wash. The clothes come out smelling fantastic (lavender at the moment) which fills the house with the fresh smell. It's lovely. Especially on bedding. I was worried at first that the oil would stain the clothes, but it doesn't.0 -
Run it on a boil wash and it should get rid of the smells.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

Have you cleaned the drawer area in your washing machine? Powder/fabric conditioner tends to build up in big clogs under the drawer in my machine and I have to scoop it out, give the machine a clean and then the washing smells fresh again.0

You might have a blocked drain.0

Is your fabric softenor being taken from the drawer when its washing or is it left and not being drawn through machine?0

I don't use fabric softener - simply because I get (used to) great results from detergent alone and I found it interrupted the great smell of my detergent lol0
