Chiltern Hills Estate Agents - High Wycombe - any experiences??

From the encounters I, my daughter & her friends have had with them over recent weeks, every alarm bell in the world is ringing... They appear to be completely incompetent, certainly very rude & have let us down numerous times. They now seriously expect non-refundable holding deposits to be paid without even seeing photos of a property (something they have been promising to do for the past 2 days).

My daughter is in tears as I have just said I will not in a million years put my name to any legal contract involving them. I doubt they are a member of any trade association however I am going to be speaking to local trading standards for the area, and posting reviews on as many relevant websites as I can find.

I'm assuming it's not just us that have had this experience with them....

comsumer direct? tried them?

if a company let you down before you even pay serious money- steer clear. If i rememember(used to live in H/W) There are lots estate agents near the train station-always get a few quotes first... hope i helped.Good luck by the way

I am currently hanging on the phone "in a queue" trying to get through to consumer direct/trading standards..

We did loads of estate agents - I have another thread on the house buying board as there seems to be very little available & about 4 properties have now fallen through... She's now upset & blaming me, but I have said to her she should not hand any money over to this mob. They seem to be complete rip-off merchants.

my mum would say to me(if in the suition ) "your old enough and ugly enough to sort it out yourself" (my parents great parenting lol)

She has been doing loads of sorting out - I usually work on the same parenting tactics, lol - it was more because I said I wasn't going to sign up as guarantor with that particular estate agents & she got upset thinking that they won't be able to go to Uni. However, things calmed down after alittle while, she has made contact with another local agent who has been very helpful & hopefully has something promising.
She realised that it would be a big mistake to sign up to anything with Chiltern Hills. When we rang to ask the manager's name the person who answered got all stroppy & demanded to know why, then refused to give it if we didn't tell him what for..!!!

So my warning to others is don't go anywhere near this outfit, google their name & read the terrible reviews on www.allagents.co.uk and tell others to avoid like the plague too!!!!
