Comet Washing machine trouble

Hey everyone,
wonder if anyone can help me here?
I need to prove my earnings for engineer callouts, I'm a self employed personal trainer.
I bought a washing machine from Comet in Feb this year it broke down flooding my kitchen in July. I called comet they sent an engineer there were then another 7 appointments booked to fix the machine a few times no engineer showed up, then a couple of times they ordered the wrong parts.......it was an unreasonable amount of time to fix a washing machine.
All in all I have lost minimum of 20 hours lost time (£750) so far not including the time out today to go and complain. Oh yeah whilst I complained comet said ok fine go and pick another machine so I did (the machine was more expensive) they then tried to charge me the difference for the machine to which I said "well waiting in has cost me £750 so call it quits" the woman then laughed at me in front of many other people who were waiting to complain to which I flipped and demanded to speak with the manager and pretty much had the same response from the manager.
I have had a refund but want to chase for lost earnings and complain properly, what is the best way to go about it??
any help
would be great

Courts tend not to award for "inconvenience" in such situations however your best bet is to put it in writing to them giving them 14 days to settle or you will take them to small claims. Leave it up to the judge you might be lucky"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

Can you prove loss of income, do you have documentary evidence that you had to cancel work. Unless you can prove an actual loss I can't see what you can achieve.0
