  • Thats what I thought, but they said because the case was closed for 2 weeks they had to issue a MEF again????? Why I dont know!

They have to issue a MEF, because the NRP has to be informed that there is a new case.
    Hi Blob,

NRP was made redundant from main job but was still a retained fireman he asked me to close it and he would do private agreement after 2 weeks never got a penny so re-opened

So it could well be a nil assessment? Retained fireman is a special category, somebody was posting on here before about that.
Hi Markeymark, They werent supposed to put on CS2 and as for phasing who knows!!! And maintenance, yes any maintenance would be nice, but I havent had any of that either for a year!
No phasing, as case is not on new system. Phasing only happens when case goes from old to new.
  • Thankyou Lil2002 thats made it more clearer, Nrp got new full-time job in Jan this year, but yes it was nil assessment up until Jan I think.
  • Hi, Just to add that I have it on good authority from a top exectutive at the CSA today that retained fireman is not classed as a special catergory with regards to CS1, however it is with CS2. I hope this helps with others.
