your checkout girl was wrong. It was a regional manager who confirmed the price to me as they are being discontinued due to not selling well.

Also they were going out of dat 14/12/11 on the packs I picked up! Think she was just a jobs worth!!

Of course they can sell them. It's not even a misprice, when they want rid of stuff they reduce to 1p so that if the store has to [STRIKE]'waste it'[/STRIKE] bin it/give to charity, their figures don't take a beating. Hence the 1p halloween sweets etc.

I guess the store manager can choose to donate to charity instead of sell but not at point of sale surely...

Had a young lad on checkout the other night, scanned all my dormans/harry's nuts and asked 'is this right'. I just said oh yes, they're rtc. Maybe that's all we need to say?

hi i got yesterday halloween cadburys marshmellow biscuits and the freaky fingers for 1p also last week i got halloween goody bags haribo mix and shrek sweets all for 1p

Got 4 pack of spicy Dormen peanuts, no more left on the rack , for 1p a pack!!! Really chuffed, my first 1p purchase at Tesco!!
