  • I picked up a teen girl long T shirt today, it was a cherokee and was white with an abstract pink and mauve pattern on the front. It was marked up at £1 when I got to the checkout it was snatched away and I was told that I couldnt buy it as it wasnt on the computer as it had been in the sale too long! I dont know if it actually came up at 1p as I didnt see and the CO was so quick.

I came across F&F ladies thermal underwear (more like lounge wear).

Wrap top marked £8 came up as £2

Top marked as £5 came in at £1.25.

Leggings at £7 came out at £1.75.

    A £20.00 set cost £5.00.

I held up the que while I went back for more. Staff were lovely; some even went to grab theirs.

Bargain; I'll be cute and warm this winter.

I took the H & S colour care shampoo and the Colmans cheese and bacon mix to the price scanner in my local. They both came up with a message on the screen saying to contact a member of staff (or words to that effect) so I left them.

dear grannydot dont be worried, all that it means is that the item is not on file so at the worst the staff member will tell u that they can't sell the item

I get that message sometimes but I think it means there's a problem with the pricechecker not the item as I've then scanned the item at a different one and it tells me the price ok. I've never had it happen with the 1p items so again its not specific to them.

  • For anyone with android phones there are a few apps for tesco. One is called paperless list the other is called tesco shopping there is also a new one called Tesco grocery shopping. All these apps have a barcode scanner and search function which may be useful instore for scanning items if the store scanner isn't working.
Maybe there are similar apps for the iphone too.
