Re the mini meals tins...not to rain on anyone's parade, but is it really worth stocking up on this stuff? It cant be very nutritional and if your DD and DS are complaining then it is not worth the 18p. Surely a large batch of pasta frozen into smaller portions is cheaper and healthier? I know some people are short on money and time, but rich in addiction, so no offence...just wanted to point this out.

Congrats to nikkilala's son and well done on your 1p find, thatguy...

I though exactly the same, bought 8 tins of the purple tin, the kids hate it, so not a bargain really, will donate mine to the foodbank though so not a total loss.
Did think about given it to a parent of a toddler but pretty sure the salt levels would be too high.
The product is awful IMO what were Heinz thinking?
Really slimy with lumps of artificial looking "meat" way below the normal Heinz standard.
You are right too, only bought them for the "thrill of the chase" will definitely think before buying from now on.

Yes, agree about the economics of home cooking etc, but sometimes things like this are handy to have in when we're feeling a little lazy or planning has gone out of the window. OH loves the Ravioli ones and I am partial to the chicken and sweetcorn as a 'treat' Handy for last min work lunches too - still cheaper than an M&S sarnie (which I personally hate and find are often dry) Got my last 'stock up' today though and that's my lot.

Got some of the chicken and sweetcorn today so will try Lo's on this. Agree with kerri gt that these are just handy to have in the cupboard for reserves or if my boys go to my mums and she doesnt have anything ready for them

Also got 12 playdoh sets ready for party bags for eldest's birthday party but got home and realised one was missing the little machine. Might have to do a trip to L*kes*de to see if they have any unless someone has nicked them already!!
Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.

If anyone sees about 10 playdoh sets in the Essex/ East London area (or further afield for postage) that you dont want can you let me know please as need some more for party bags and Lakeside had none...

Also do you think they will restock these as could check my local store again...

Mind you, she would only try one or two tins. If the kids don't like em, she'd get a refund on the other 8 or 9 tins next time she goes in. Not a bad gamble really.

It always feels good to share a little MSE magic in the stores :)
