Hello to a fellow Norfolk shopper. :T
These water guns, did they have bar code ending in 099 and only have 'water gun' written on label????? Thats what I got a couple of weeks back and scanned at £1, not sure if it' s been corrected since though as have only found that one..... Info needs updating if anyone else finds one with this code please let us know.:D0 -

Have you tried scanning since they have rectified the price?
Could be interesting to know the results now!:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

I used the tesco shopping app and the bar code scanner. I tried them on my Chili nuts at home and they came up 'item not recognised' but worked on mint thins that were correctly priced, so it crossed my mind that if the item was unknown it might be reduced, so when I scanned a strawberry and cream tart in store and it wasn't recognised, I took the gamble and put it in my trolley. £3 that cost me. I hope it's tastes nice!
It seems very hit and miss to me. I wouldn't rely on a mobile app myself. Well, obviously I would, cause I did, bit I wouldn't twice
Talking of bar code scanners, I found another price checker in store yesterday by the bedding (who suddenly needs to know the price of a duvet?) and that one doesn't work either. Does anyone know if they fix these things? That's 2 I've found in my store and neither of them work! Should I point it out to staff in the hope that they're repaired, or is that just drawing attention to the fact that I would like to randomly scan 10 items in the hope of getting a bargain?0 -
I had 2 scanners in my store, 1 of which never works it just say enter security code and the other worked fine till about 2 weeks ago and then last Wednesday I noticed someone had yanked it off the wall and it was laying on the floor. Now have no scanners unless they fix em, I'm hopeful as they fixed one back in may0

Same here too, in my local store there are two scanners, one in clothing and another in either wines & spirits or crisps. Both of these would be very useful aisles but have been broken for months.
I have also been contemplating asking if they can be fixed but wasnt sure what would be a good 'excuse' to use.....0 -
I was a little taken back yesterday, went in my local and was looking at the pet carriers (different brand to the 1p ones) but the 9.99 SEL had gone. I was busy looking for a barcode when a supervisor walked past me and said "don't worry sir, they are 9.99!"
As I left the store I saw two behind customer services, which had obviously been bought and returned when they didn't scan at 1p so I have competition!0 -
