I can't believe I am thinking of upgrading to an iphone so I get the tesco scanner app

As I understand it, this app won't replicate an in store scanner though.

All it will do is identify the item and check the Tesco website to find out the price. Most RTC items won't show up this way.

Just wanted to thank whoever it was that suggested making lollies with the choc custard - Wilkinsons have the plastic lolly mould things - 4 in a set reduced to 74p - so bought 2 lots and currently have 8 lollies in the freezer - used 1 carton of custard per 4 lollies - now what to do with the other 28 cartons!

Here's a couple of things to look out for.

In the Middleton store today I noticed a couple of things RTC - and were priced lower when I scanned them on the aisle.

Painted Floral 12 piece dinner set - Was £35, SEL £17.50 scanned at £8

Glass Placemats and coasters in a box, Was £25, SEL £7.50 scanned at £3.75

So already been reduced twice .. maybe one to watch for a 1p deal soon :)

WOW, if I'll find them tomorrow and they scan at the prices you mentioned I'll get them... :o need quite a few bits as moving houses soon and I don't have much nice stuff... :A

Make chocolate cheese cake with a tub of it mixed with mascapone cheese on a base of crushed digestives or ginger biscuits

Thank you for the tip, forgot to write the jugit barcode down but remembered your post about the blue sticker with the barcode on it and found a whole display of them at Hookwood Tesco tonight. I was very excited when it scanned at 1p but only bought one as not quite sure what I was going to do with one let alone more!

They are pretty useless unless you are going to use them with the bags of milk. Try assembling one and filling it with water then try and pour it and you will see what I mean.

When the Roses were 1p and I came across some I tried scanning them with the app and it said 'Item could not be found'. What use is that then? :S

That could be a clue as to a new 1p item.
