Basically i had a row (friendly row) because i hadnt told that person about them being 1p, but i said if i didn't tell you its because i didn't know, which means you should tell me so i can check stock in my area before its too late, some stores may still have them (cryptic i know)
Thanks for making me realise that it is time to tear myself away from checking this thread and go to bed. Boy, I must be tired! :rotfl::A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

Tried my local (Dunstable) today and didn't manage to find any of the 1p bargains. No choclit custard anywhere, no strawberry tart, no choccy pud, jug its were wrong barcode, tea was wrong barcode too. I think there must be a friend of Martins who visits there too, as all the tea had been rumaged through and the main boxes had been torn open to get a sneaky peek at the barcodes. When I say jug it and tea were the wrong barcode, I was trying to go from memory, as during an argument with my 3yr old daughter I managed to delete the note I had made on my phone of all the items and barcodes :mad::mad:SW Journey Re Re-started 25/02/14

Ok here goes,
I have had news that the big boxes of black magic chocolate may be scanning for 1p. Havent been able to check it myself but someone has reported that in some stores they may have been taken of the shelves because they are scanning for 1p. Maybe if someone happens to be in tesco soon (lol) n could check them on the scanner we could have a definate yeah or neigh!
apologies for the vagueness but its something that we could check out n who knows maybe another penny item, otherwise at least we tried!
I spotted these sitting on the reduced shelf at an express store a couple weeks ago with yellow reduced stickers on for half price, this was around the time the kokos were discovered and people were saying if you could peel the reduced sticker off they would scan through for a penny, it worked with the koks but not with the black magic, i eneded up paying full price for them but didnt want to take them back as had other penny items on receipt. Dad had them for fathers day. If i get chance i will pop by tomorrow and try again.Agent 06 of the HCCSC :T0 -
Hi
Which eggs were these please? Was it in bullsbridge?
Thanks
It was bullsbridge but I did take the lot I'll admit. But they definately were'nt there the day before. Try pulling out the boxes of chocolates and looking behind, discreetly of course!:rotfl:I didnt check behind all of them as I just wanted to get mine paid for and go!
They were the eggs in the tubesBeware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -

Thanks which ones were they? Will keep my eye out next time i am in there if i remember. Thanks0 -
yes they have 2 .... one in the toy section and one in aisle 12,13,14 i think .... that one is nearer the middle aisle if you walk down towards the back hth
That's great - thanks so much. No custard (not that I'm sure I need/want it), T-bags, sweetcorn (is this still 8p?), Harpic or mice in my local Metro (not that surprising) so might brave the Extra at the weekend.emerald_starcat wrote: »Thanks for that, for some reason I was thinking they were cheaper - 6p.
Orange jelly is lovely if you stick a can of drained satsumas before setting. Very refreshing dessert!
Found some Jacob's cheeselets at my local the other day - the xmas tubs but they scanned at £1.99 - booo!
Ohh...now that sounds yum - the jelly and satsumas, not the cheeselets being £1.99....they're prob putting out Xmas stock for 2011 already! :rotfl:Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I can see all your points, but i think, as a newbie... i would feel slightly excluded if say, i missed a days threading, therefore missed out on a bargain... plus it would mean everyone kept re-asking the same questions about the items... more than they do now... i rely on the penny items list, as i have a terrible memory, and no printer, so cannot print off the items.
if, and when i find any bargains, i would happily share them with everyone on here... tbh, it would be my first port of call and always look out for bargains to report to you lovely lot... but i feel that if the list gets removed, it would turn this into more of a 'every man for themselves' on here, and even though there are no other West Mids MSEers coming forward on here just yet, i know there are many out there, i would prefer to work with them rather than against them... surely others feel the same too.
i love the friendly welcoming atmosphere on here, and i feel that this would make it... erm.... unwelcoming...
im not trying to put anyones backs up here, just airing my views in the hope that someone agrees and wants to keep the list too.
xx

Was actually only worth about 10p in my opinion, a total rip off for £2Basically i had a row (friendly row) because i hadnt told that person about them being 1p, but i said if i didn't tell you its because i didn't know, which means you should tell me so i can check stock in my area before its too late, some stores may still have them (cryptic i know)
Really don't follow, too cryptic for me after a long day..
I'm just debating, as I saw black magic in the reduced section the other week, weather to go and check if they have any on the shelf?0 -
