@ dawnie1972, I called them this morning and very unhelpful, was told that they have the right to refuse sale for any reason(see earlier post) will be intresting to see what their responce to you is, keep us posted, ta

What I would want answered by them is:

    1. Why do some stores sell the 1p items with no problem at all.
    2. Why do some 'customers' get thoroughly shown up by purchasing the 1 p items, which are out on the shelves to be purchased.
    3. Why do the same stores that refuse to sell the 1p items, keep restocking their shelves with the same 1p items?
    4. If some of the goods are EPW, this is obviously not universal throughout the Tesco stores ... rather a worry if it was for a serious health issue ...what is the reason why the goods are EPW in some stores, and not others?
    5. Why does Tesco not have the same policy for every store?

These are the questions I will be emailing to the CEO office when I get stopped.

with the small boxes of roses scanning at 1p, has anyone tried the small boxes of celebrations to see if they are 1p?

Havent seen any of the small celebrations on my travels, but did scan the small red box of Lindor and they were priced at £1 on the shelf and were scannng at £1.

Well that will teach me for rushing out the door without properly reading a post! Just back from Mr T's with 3 boxes of T-Bags that I paid a £1 each for  There is no price scanner in our local so I thought I would get 3 boxes and if they scanned at 7p, would go back and get some more. Didn't realise there were two different barcodes :o

On the plus side, I did manage to get 5 cartons of Ambrosia chocolate custard for 10p each. I did leave some on the shelf but will admit that I will be going back for more tomorrow as I have an autistic 4 year old who refuses to eat anything other than ambrosia choc custard (apart from french fries and bolognese), so this will be a fantastic saving for me! Thanks op :T

thank you to everyone on this thread! have been frantically scanning my tesco ipod app every day in the hope that it might work, but i now think it only shows what they want you to see! when the OH gets back from the gym, i'm heading off to try and find some of these mice, tea bags and custard! also might try the finest strawberry thing as i've noticed a lot of the frozen stuff doesn't get moved around as much - probably short straw work as its so blimmin cold! wish me luck - i may be gone some time!
bargain hunting is what i do! :money: 2 adults 3 kids - its like trying to feed a zoo! :D

Thank you so much for posting this. I was on quest to find Roses but sadly couldnt see them. Then I noticed a thorntons box with the red heart on like you mentioned. Im not a regular of this thread and only found it after christmas so would never have known about this potential 1p item had you not made this post! I picked up this lonely box then noticed a cage at the end with some stock to go out in and guess what.... there were the taller boxes with the heart on! As I remembered you said the box was taller I put the other flater box back and tried one of these.... 1p! Woohoo! Went back and got the other five in the box. I have never thrown a 1p and a 5p into the SS so far haha There were 2 more boxes in the cage but I didnt have the nerve to go back for more!

So maybe there are some shipments of the Thorntons Moments 650g with the Love to share heart on going out at the minute... another one to look out for!

Dad and Grandad are currently tucking into one of the boxes!

Hi Giggles Fairy. so glad my post was of use. Can't remember who originally gave the tip on the whereabouts of the red heart on the 1p boxes, it was back a while on this thread. The flatter packs do have it too but it is near the bottom of the pack. It's funny how things stick in your mind. I just could not believe my luck. Unfortunately as the shelf space was meant for the shorter pack the shelf stacker had jammed these in on the top shelf so some of mine are bit damaged now as bit stuck on the shelf. Never mind the four of us are tucking into a box ourselves this evening for afters. So pleased you spotted them and got some yourself. :j:j:j

Just back from T's, 2nd visit of the day!! No choc custard and teabags had the wrong barcode, but did get 2 doves, 2 yazoo milkshakes and a big bit of pork down from £14 to £2 something so not a wasted visit. The thing about the heart on the roses choccies being at the top of the box is embedded in my brain so much that I check everytime I go in:rotfl: I have a system at the moment and check for the loo cleaners, peanuts, roses, koko truffles, mices and this morning pet baskets,I know it all off by heart now, I don't even need a list :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I think I'm getting worse by the day!
    Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:
