I think it's safe to say he meant roses, not quality street. lol
  • So excited, on my way to Tesco now, haven't been in a good few days! As I don't have anything to do for a few hours I fancy going round with a trolley picking up rtc stuff and taking them to the price checker to see if I can find any new 1p item. Will report back!

Got a load of 1p items today in my local store:

    bags of M&M Peanuts
    big bags of Mini Eggs
    Malteaster bunnies
    Aero lambs
Mix n Match Creme Egg, Caramel Egg and Dairy Milk egg
Peppa Pig hard plastic egg with notebook and chocs inside
    Caramel bunnies
    Tesco's own-brand micro-eggs
    and loads more

I trawled the aisles, looking for discarded easter stock and managed the above haul. Let's just say it came to 47p!

EDIT to make a little clearer - the above was all over the store, dumped by shoppers in various locations. The Aero lambs were in the chewing gum end-of-aisle things, for instance.

    Also noticed:

Mini Toblerone's going through at 60p, rather than £1.20 SEL price.

Got three pairs of Homer Simpson cupid socks for a penny. Found a load of Xmas ones too, but they scan at a quid.

Managed to get three Harpics and left three for someone else.

And, last but not least, probably store-specific, but I moved a few boxes of chocs searching for Roses (never seen any in my store) and found a case of 'I 'Heart' Mum' chocolates in long boxes. Thought I'd hit the jackpot, so put them in my trolley and got to the scanner, only to find they all had reduced stickers over the barcode indicating they were 75p. I removed one (took ages) and scanned it... 1p! Hurrah! So now have 18 of the things. I really do heart my mum!

Is there more than one rim block thingy??

The one i've been looking for ends in 549711 and is an aqua coloured one saying odour stop? I thought this was the only one?

Hi all, just thought I'd say hello and thank you all for this wonderful thread! I've been lurking for a couple of weeks but thought it was time to de-lurk to give thanks!

On my foray this morning, no 1p finds (I've still only had 1 1p chocolate find and that was a packet of Kinder Bueno Mini chocolate eggs) but I managed to get sweetcorn and rim blocks. I did also find some other bargains which I thought I'd share in case they are any good to any of you:

Cofresh snack bars either Peanut or Coconut are scanning at 17p /18p each. In some health food shops these are £1 each so I thought this was a good deal, no SEL for either. Tesco ' Naturally' washing up liquid, scanning at 40p per bottle, used to be about £1.50, its their environmentally friendly one. And Mega Blocks Maxi Blok 14pc foil carry pack, SEL of £3 is scanning at £1.50, I was well pleased with this as was quite happy to pay the £3 for my toddler and was surprised when I checked my receipt. I've had a scan about on the net and they are £10.49 on Play and £8 on eBay.

Hope this info is of some use to some of you!

Great to see a newbie joining in, cherrypies, rather than lurking and clearing the shelves of sweetcorn (as in my local)!
