  • Not a find to be had at all in Carrickfergus. However, I consoled myself with the half priced bacon joint I got at the hot food counter (just the right time for reductions, 4pm! ) and the free samples of icecream they were handing out!
Total debt £20,000 Northern Rock loan:eek:

Guess what; I finally found where they were hiding the 1p wrapping paper at the local Express store; bit late now, oh well.

Edit: did someone just say they got the 1p paper; had that not gone back up to £1? If not then I'll nip back down there pronto!
my tesco has gone upto £1 BUT they had a sel for 50p so with dtd it was free worth a look the sel was on the bottom of the cards

I was amazed today when i went in tesco express and got the bargain of a century. They had cadburys creme eggs, lindor eggs, mini eggs - large bags, and mini eggs in tubes, and malteasers bunny rabbits all for one pence each...clearly marked on the shelf. I swept everything off the shelf into my basket - which was completely overflowing and spent £2.22 on SEVEN carrier bags overflowing of chocolate.

I must say, the other shoppers didn't seem impressed..no-one seemed to have noticed this insane bargain until I started sweeping the shelf - and as soon as they realised what they were missing out on I was getting tutted at by the other shoppers.

Well my attitude is, if you snooze you loose. This is the first time I have ever struck lucky like this so I thought I would take full advantage.

I think I wound them up further by waving my ten foot long receipt around above my head saying 'seven carrier bags full for £2.22''. :)

What size were the mini eggs bags - sure I've seen them in my local

I thought had seen them in one of my local expresses so off I went and hit the jackpot well not as many as the OP.

Cadbury Creme Egg Minis 100g bag. Barcode 5 000201 483300. Best before 07/2011 on mine. SEL £1.25 but scanned 1p!!!

Thanks ska lover for giving me the nudge to go and have look this evening. :T:T:T:T

Ps All Easter leftovers were on a seperate stand last week but that had something else on so nearly left but saw these amongst all the other sweets and chocolates at the Express.

just got back and got 6 jars of the sharwoods biryani sauce 30p my can of free spam for the dog, my 2 dove for 10p and my ariel stain remover for 27p. thank you tesco.

also dtd on blue flexi tub (the round storage tubs) there was 3 colours all priced £5.40 each and on the shelve above the blue one was reduced to £4 so i got 2 blue when checking my reciept noticed they went through at £5.40 so went to cs and told her i had to take her to the item and the £4.00 sel was out of date but went back to cs and she said u were over £2.80 so we double it if we over charge you so that a return £5.60. Reallllyyyyyy i said lol so i paid £4.90 for 2 and the correct price now is £5.40 each i was well pleased thats my first dtd. i was scared lol
