1p finds at Tesco thread

As I said before, this thread is getting more like the old Boots one, which degenerated into some really nasty posting - and was closed down !!
It started with lots of little cliches, who set up their own little coteries who seemed to have their own little secrets going on.
They were pm'ing and emailing each other.... but posting about/referring to this on the MSE Boots thread.
If people wanted to have private conversations, fine, but I could never understand why they insisted on coming onto a public forum saying "I'll speak to you later on our private thread etc.."
It only irritated/annoyed and set up peoples backs.
HUKD also have several little "private" groups who keep deals and freebies to themselves.... personally I always preferred the friendly open MSE forums, and have ignored all invitations to join these "private" parties.... it is all I can do to keep up to date with happenings anyway
There has now been several pages of postings since all this kicked off - and only one or two with any relevance to what the actual thread in about.
Could we just draw a line under the last few hours, agree to disagree, and get back on topic?
Personally, I have had a day off hunting for 1p or any other clearance lines - too busy with the half price clothing offers. Bought dozens of bits and pieces - most worked out at only £1 each, so has been a productive day for this old bag.
Interestingly one Tesco realised that there was a glitch with the "2 for £4" and "2 for £6" and actually put signs up saying "2 for £2" on the t-shirts and leggings.
Needless to say the place was jam-packed and hardly anything left on the rails.
I did get some more of the glasses this week. There were dozens in one store with the beautiful "4 for £3" sticker.... although I am sure the sa thought I had stuck them on the glasses myself.:cool:0 -

I'll wait patiently, my time will come.
When the time comes would you PM me?
Sorry I couldn't resist! My gripe at the minute is the mega blocks. Not everyone on here has listed their location and not everyone posts on their local board either so quite often people have ended up replying to a post of someone who literally lives down the road. I don't have time to drive all around the country to check if other stores have the glitches so if someone wants to ask if they can check their local store for anything then I'm extremely grateful.
I got a blu-ray player recently that I didn't realise was end of line and a rare find. I was all over Bangor & East Belfast trying to find another one for a gift and eventually found it by accident in a store I'd never been in. If I'd known other local MSEers I could have asked them via PM (so as not to clutter these threads with drivel) if they would mind having a look. I was actually in Mr Ts today and saw the JLS dolls you mentioned and was going to lift 2 for you but as I wasn't sure where you lived or if you'd already got them I didn't (btw they're £7.49 each and there were at least 3 of each of the guys). By knowing where others are located and by adding people to your contact list ( because that's the easiest way to keep track of who you know) you can quickly get back to someone if you need.0 -

NO WAY - it's every man for himself/ herself survival of the fittest, when stuff like that happens. :rotfl:
As much as my little girl would love the dolls, she has far to many others toys already so we are making a conscious effort to scale down, but thank you for the offer.
I have NO one in my contacts list. How dare you venture out of grabbits onto other boards, lol.
OK back on topic, I have never hunted 1p items before, had a go earlier and it's not for me, it's far too stressful, mainly cos I cant remember what i'm looking for, cant handle to many lists etc.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

Do you have a smart phone like an iPhone or Android based phone? I use shopping apps to store the 1p items including barcodes. I also send emails to myself before I go out that include new glitches/bargains/1p items. If you're relying on a hand written list then that would be a nightmare.0 -
OMG, this site and tesco is not here for your leisure, i daren't ask what you do for a living:eek:. You are so selfish and self centred it is unreal.
Give it a rest - she was joking, it was a tongue in cheek comment.
I not going to fuel your fire anymore by commenting on any of the other rubbish you've just spouted I'm just going to hit the ignore button. If it's even still in existence, i've never had to use it before.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

yes I have one of those iphone things but never really use it with all the apps etc, phonecalls and facebook it about its limit, lol. just more gadgets and lists lol. Although my lists did help me find other glitches, I think it's just cos i dont have the time or patience to hunt these elusive items down.
I miss my memory, it used to work great till I had kids.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

It's dead easy. Click on the user name and select public profile. On the next page you will see their user name in a big font type and under that is 'user lists'. Click this and 'Add to ignore list'. Troll promptly ignored.
There's also the spam or report buttons.0 -
Wasn't this the Tesco 1p thread once????
Surely the whole MSE site is for EVERYONE to be helped, not just a select few?
Maybe it would be good if poeple who posted their finds said which store they found them in rather than just saying 'my local' as then it would help others more, as I have noticed this on a lot of threads. When I know someone is from kent, I'd like to know which store it was so I can go to that particular one rather than search it out BUT being in an exclusive club surely goes against what this site stand for in helping everyone?
anyway.... can we get back to this being the 1p thread or should we start using the tesco glitch thread for offers seeing as this thread has changed so much.0 -
New day, new start....
Many thanks ilovemykids for the headsup on the dogs. I too have a pressie hamper so will be stashing these for pressies or party prizes!!
