1p finds at Tesco thread

I had a good shop at the WWX store in Thanet today - I found a shelf-full of the purple fleece throws which have been mentioned on another thread! All clearly marked at £1.25 as well. Bit on the thin side but I picked up 4 (lots left) as I am going to use them for dog blankets - my bonkers spaniel rips her blankets to shreds in a couple of weeks. They charge a ridiculous price for "proper" dog blankets as well, just because they have paw prints or bone designs all over them!

I also found a full shelf of the 20p pasta sauce and bought 4 of those as well - they were on the very bottom shelf and loads left.

Okay, so I found this item awhile ago, a HELLO KITTY PURSE WITH CHOCOLATES; it scanned at 1p, but I didn't buy it as it was covered in dirt. But today I went to the toy aisle and found loads more in the Hello Kitty section! However, NONE of these had tags on them.. I think the staff might've noticed the 1p pricing and removed all tags! Shameful. But I refused to give up. So I kept looking for random stray 1p items in the clearance section, but no luck so gave up. Then went back to the toy section and found a little plastic Disney Princess zip tin purse thing with jellybeans in, so scanned that, and it was 1p! So after spending a further 10 minutes or so searching for the Hello Kitty purse tags, I gave up and grabbed three of them without tags (knowing they were 1p from last time!), and then waited for self-checkout to get busy so no one would pay attention to me. Then I scanned the 1p Disney thing 4 times and got the 3 purses. Was shaking like mad though, so nervous in case they asked me what I was doing.. I also bought two more normal items just so it wouldn't look so suspicious. :P

Hope this helps someone.. Have a look in the toy section, near the Hello Kitty stuff! Have a look at the back of the shelves as well, some of these were hidden behind bigger toys. This was in the Slough store by the way.

thanks what make/size barcode is the pasta sauce because it's not on the pennyitems page? thanks

The 20p sauce is the 'Discount Brand' Trattoria Verdi. It is a 500g jar with a lime green and red label with a picture of 2 tomatoes, saying "Tomato & herb pasta sauce". Barcode 5 051898 308889

After looking in about 4 Extras, I finally found a load today and bought 10 jars. If it is any good, I'l be back for more tomorrow !

Apart from this, the only other 'real' 1p find I have had is the Tomato and Chilli carton of sauce a few weeks ago - the same one that was on the B1G2F glitch last year.

Well checked again today and Easter socks still going through at 25p! MASSIVE SHOCKER! My only working scanner no longer works!!! What the blinking hell am I gonna do now?!

Do what we do, take them to either the clothing till or the pharmacy for a price check.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Did you know you can pay for non clothing at the clothing till. DS went to the self service with 12 of the 1p Hello kitty eggs and then put them in the car.

He then came back in and instead of taking another dozen to the self service he asked if he could pay at the clothing till and the sa said yes, scanned them and he paid, no problem.

hi all, think i may found a new tissue box:j:j:j, not 1p, but cheap as the others, 25p

same place where i found the green box, but this is a cream/yellow (dark cream- is there such a colour?) rectangular box with a burgundy cala lilly on it, tesco finest.
