you had much luck find items in wsm was thinking of popping up from burnham.
nope, i rarely find anything. My last 1p find was the cadbury's wish chocolate at the back of the reduced shelf weeks ago. If you are coming into weston its worth a potter round but I wouldn't come just for tesco.

I have tried too as found some flavoured Finest Mayonaisse in the reduced section and all had BBE May 2011, had been there a couple of weeks and wondered if may be reduced further but wouldn't scan. I did wonder if stickers were put on on to stop the original barcode from letting them sell for less. One of my local stores has done this quite a lot with items that are later reported to be a penny.
My local does this all the time and the stuff just sits on the reduced shelf for weeks and weeks! They cover the barcode up and price it at a slight reduction on the full price, and i just know half of it is probably a 1p item by now

There was something a while back that one evening there were loads of very close to end of month of the Best Before date, thought they may reduce further but all disappeared. Wish could remember what it was.

Guess this is what will happen to the mayonnaise. 55p to me is not a great buy as have bought bigger jars when they have been on offer which would work out cheaper. I know they have a flavour but not really sure would like them. I guess a lot of other people are thinking the same as like you say just sitting there not being bought.

There were empty boxes of the Sun pat crunchy clusters things today, in the reduced section. They definitely were not there yesterday and not on the shop floor last week when I looked. Me thinks I am frequenting Mr T too often lately.

They are also on the Tesco website at this price. I have added several to my online shop and allowed substitutions. It will be interesting to see what happens...

To my utter astonishment -- as I have never seen these in my local store -- 18 jars of the 20p pasta sauce turned up this afternoon, with just two Tesco own-brand substitutions which they gave me at the same price. HTH.

Managed to nab a few jars of the 20p sauce and 50p Maxwell house coffee pouches today at Tesco Carrickfergus so many thanks OP's! Not one darned 1p find though - same with the Newtownabbey branch. Carrickfergus does have 2 working price checker thingys so hopefully someone else will find a few bargains and report back!

Maybe I should try another store as when I scanned them yesterday the were 89p, (I think, well 80 something pence.) Perhaps I did pick up wrong packet. I thought the person who had posted the barcode got confused with the last digit being a 7 as there was this symbol ">" at the end with exactly the same numbers as had been posted that I scanned.
