1p finds at Tesco thread

I had two trollies and my elderly mother with me but if I'm in the vicinity I'm going to give it a bash for research purposes
Would it be a good idea not to use the clubcard so as not to be put on a naughty list?
I'm not sure they're that bothered about matching clubcards to lists, that was more with the DTD "operation" haha. I remember when they had the Forever Love album "operation" about 3 years ago where you got 500 clubcard points for £2 lol was fab, I must have bought about 30 of those CDs and used my clubcard, never heard a tweet tbh.
But yeah, if you are worried then don't use your clubcard. When I go through the SS tills with 1p items I always do it with a mini shop of stuff I need too and I alternate the items as I scan them so it's not one big long list of 1p items. Also if you leave a few normal items to scan at the end you can end up "bumping" the 1p items off the scanning screen so they can't be seen incase anyone comes lurking at your monitor0 -
i just scan about say 10 items pay for them then do the same with the rest.. cos if u have paid for them they cannot say no..0

I did find some McCoys 15 pack of crisps and asked the SA to check the price as someone posted that they were scanning at £1. The SA said "ask me again and say please and I will" - I was amazed - I asked nicely - just said "could you scan these for me to see how much they are?" - I HATE Tescos!
How very rude of that SA, but hey it's Tecso, where customers appear to be an inconvenience to them. Anyway my understanding is that not pricing items (ie. missing SEL) is illegal and my local Tecso is rife with that practice. Just drop a line to your local Trading Standards dept. or Dhoo ! that might spoil the penny bargain routine. Can't say I've got into that though. Will read this thread a bit more before I decide to give it a go.0 -

This worked for me too. A few items inbetween then i quickly pay, i usually wait until it hectic and the woman usually leaves the main point. I had one looking over my shoulder once but was about 30 secs before i paid. If she said anything shed have to wrestle my card of me lol, id blank her and carry on paying lol0 -

Nevermind.
Also, lots of price changes, my value tinned fish has gone up by £0.20:eek: , in fact most of the items I buy have gone up in the last week, not happy at all. Back to Asda, Morrisons and £shop. Tesco is too expensive for me now, they are a bunch of robbing ykwim...
I agree, went in today to use my last DTD voucher and blimey, I see why thy threw the towel in on it, they are sooooooo expensive and the fresh produce appears inferior too . . .0 -

Prefer Morrisons version - in a jar. Costs 5p if you can stretch to it!0 -
