Free spirit?

We are fairly free spirits when we want to be. We have a caravan and go off in that for about 4 months each year.

Since my OH retired we have been 3 months in Scandinavia in 2007, 2 1/2 months in England and 1 month in Scotland in 2008, 2 1/2 months in England and 3 months in france in 2009, and this year we are newly back from 4 months mainly in Scandinavia, where we have family. Next April we are off again for another 3 months.

We also look after the running and upkeep of our local Guide Hall, but luckily can get someone else to take over when we want to travel, and I am also the Treasurer. Again, someone else pays the bills when i am away.

Otherwise, we volunteer for some fundraising at our church when we can, and we have 2 grandchildren to visit when we are home.

Then there is our daughter, nearly finished her PhD, an ardent MSE-er, but still needs a little help/advice occasionally!

And of course internet forums, looking after the house, the garden (sadly neglected these days), and various hobbies............no time for work these days!

There's nothing I'd like better than to be on grandma duty! Still waiting and hoping.

U3A takes up a lot of my time though.

I'm torn between wanting it and being jolly glad the boys aren't rushing into anything!
