New Year Family Break

We are totally fed up with the same old rubbish new year and would like to go away somewhere suitable for a family break with a 4 year old.
Had a look on a few websites but some really expensive, anyone been on one of these breaks and could recommend somewhere, we are up in Scotland so have to rule out anywhere too far away.
