House sale monies to invest

We have just sold our house and are moving into rented accom whilst we search for our next dream home!
Hopefully we will want to be buying again in 6 to 9 months time, so what do we do with the money in the meantime??

We will have about £350,000 to save but will need access to it after about 6 months. Any suggestions welcome!

Don't invest it if you only have 6 months (you need 5 years + for investments).
You need to save in instant access.
Only put £50K in each insitution per person to be safe.
You will also need to check which institutions get counted as the same for this purpose e.g. RBS & Nat West are part of the same group.

Other than that go for the highest rates you can get.
