How can I find the details of an Insurance write-off / Report?

Can anyone tell me if its possible to get a copy of the insurance report for a write-off?

Sadly, I dont know the Insurance company involved.

If there is a net or mail based company that supply this as a paid service, thats fine.

Cheers - F.

Yes, whichever report would detail the damage prior to the car being written off.

I know the vehicle in question is listed as Cat-D, but the inspector i've just taken the car to would of rated it as Cat-C !

Might be that only trading standards can access the report.

The report will just be sitting on the insurers' file for that particular claim. They don't file or register them anywhere else.

I've heard of Cat C cars that should've been Cat D and vice versa, it depends on the insurer and the assessor I think.

Moral of the story - don't buy a categorised car AFTER it's been fixed.
