Advice welcome please WTC

Hi

My partner is in the building trade and in the current climate he keeps getting laid off its happened twice this year so far....

I have took a part-time job on for 16 hrs min wage but its permanent so we will have some money coming in

Does any1 know if he does get laid off again what we will gbet in WTC. Please

  • You can get WTC on the hours you're working, only one of you need work 16 hours, hth.

    You won't get help with chilcare unless you're both working 16 hrs.

  • Right Ive just been told by WTC I should be entitled to 80% towards my childcare cost which is great

    The nursey I have been looking at will only do minimum of 1 full day or 2 half days.

    My wrking hours are mainly evening apart from 1 half day. My partner looks after his son when I wrk evenings so my childcare I only need 1 half day but will have to pay for 2 and will then use 2.

    My question is will WTC cred only help wi the half a day I need or will it help wi both half days. I will be wrking 16 hrs
