  • Thank you sooooo much everyone, you really have made me feel so much better!
@Jacks, your list IS my list! lol but I will sit down and write my own.

I don't have a clear full day till next week (I'm determined to do it in a day) so I promise I will let you all know how I get on.
I'm going to mooch on the links you lovely ladies have given me for inspiration but I promise I won't buy a thing until operation clear out is complete!

    Do keep us updated!!

    You're on the way now!!

PS Have a ittle browse through the Next website for inspiration. One of the things I like about it is the fact that it shows clothes put together as outfits, as opposed to pictures of the clothes in isolation. Reading the customer reviews can be helpful too.

I don't think they deserve our forgiveness for the cardinal sin of showing their plus range on skinny models however!

I'm so glad you identified with my list my lovely. It's nice to know that someone else feels like me. :)

Those style books where they say things like "everyone" needs a crisp white shirt, a black jacket, a black shift dress, some gold high heels and a pair of jeans really make me feel alienated and like a total oddball cos I probably never wear any of that!

Now, how did your daughter persuade you to go for a bra fitting cos I've got someone in my life that I need to persuade! :D

    She got married! lol
Her wedding was abroad and she wanted some strapless tops so she didn't get 'strips' on her wedding day (her dress was strapless), she is well blessed so wanted tops with support, plus she wanted some nice lingerie. We were out shopping for other stuff as well, we called into Bravissimo for the tops and she asked if there was a fitter free (it was Saturday and I thought I was safe!) and there was so she hauled me up the stairs and that was it! lol I have to say the fitter was lovely and I was in shock - I went from wearing a 48dd to a 40ff:eek:

I know what you mean about the list, these books never seem to realise that women come in different shapes and sizes:mad:
  • Well, the day I put aside as my 'sort out' day has been commandeered for other stuff! So I'll have to do it in bits, an hour or so a day when I have the time free - if I wait for another full day I may be waiting a very long while!
Just thought I'd better let you all know I hadn't 'chickened' out after you've all been so supportive.

Go for it hon. Sometimes breaking a job up into bitesize chunks can be a better way to do it. :)
