Anyone have or have had this problem? Since the last couple of days I am no longer able to access MSE in firefox - MSE will load but then if I click on forums I get this:
I have never had this problem before in Firefox and did think when the problem started that it was a problem with MSE website. However when I opened MSE in 'explorer' it worked fine!
Has anyone any idea how I can resolve this problem as I use Firefox.
Bad Request
Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.Size of a request header field exceeds server limit.

There are lots of hits for that text in google.
The first result I looked at suggests deleting your MSE cookies...

Thank you both for your quick replies and advice. Kwikbreaks when I tried your link it would only flash and then go blank - even in explorer! Very strange, however, I did see during the time something about 'cookies' so I went and deleted all cookies and it now MSE works in firefox!:j
Thank you so much, it was very annoying although I feel a little silly that I didn't think of deleting cookies before posting this thread! I'm sure though that it will help others when/if it happens.
Hopefully now it will work properly for a while - it has never happened before.
Thanks again - it's good to know people here are so willing to help others AND so quickly.;)0 -
The link is one of those huge long stupid ones that are used for search engine optimisation purposes.
It seems that the root cause is actually a bug in the Apache web server - it picks up your existing cookie and adds stuff to it repeatedly until it exceeds the valid maximum size for a cookie (4k I think) So the problem wasn't either yours or firefox.0
