Santander Payments??

Has anyone else noticed that since the changes to Santander online banking system have been implemented the payments system takes longer! I used to be able to make a payment from my Santander business banking account to my Santander personal account instantly, now when you make a payment it shows as pending and goes in the next morning, very frustrating as this may have caused me to miss a dd and go over drawn this morning.

I made the payment yesterday expecting it to go in instantly, the payment sits there as pending and this morning I check both account and a dd has come out of my personal account but the payment from the business account is still pending!! Why is it that for taking out money they seem to do it as soon as but for putting it in they put it in whenever they like.

I don't know if the dd will get returned, will have to wait and see!

Don't take the chance and make the payment earlier...

Thats all well and good Tanith but when you've been using the same payment system for about 2 years and are used to the payments going accross instantly then you kind of expect that this is what is going to happen.

I have just checked their help section and there is a bit on payments, it states that if a payment is made after 5:30pm or on a non working day then they will go in the following day, I made this payment just before lunch yesterday!

Think I need to give them a call today.

Ok, so as the clock strikes 8am the payment arrives! I will checking to make sure I don't get any charges in relation to this and I will still be calling Santnader today to ask why payments are not going instantly.

Ok, so I've spoken to Santander business banking today, seems that the payments not going accross instantly is a temp thing, they are currently migrating to a new system and things should be back to how they were at the end of September.

If anyone else is having the same issue they advised me today that if I wanted to transfer money accross instantly to give them a call and they would be able to do this if I couldn't wait the axtra day.
